Titles / Credit

What is the Credit?
It is used to rent disc in Disc Central, the number of Credits given will be according to which plan you signed up for.

How do I rent?
Rent your favorite disc by clicking on the ‘RENT IT NOW’ button next to the movie. 1 Credit will be deducted for every disc rented and after watching, simply return us the title and we will return you the credit and you can start renting again.

You do not have a title I am looking for.
You can send us a feedback with the titles that you are looking for and we will try our best to source for the requested titles, assuming the titles are active and have been released on either Blu-ray or HD-DVD format.

Can I reserve the discs that are being rented out.
As we always wanted the members to get the discs on the first come first serve basis, but for the members' convenience, we had provided a queue system that will only be activated upon the return of the discs. The system will search the entire library for the available titles that can be matched to your queue (priority will be according to the list in your queue) at that moment. Should there be no titles that can be matched to the list within the queue, the system will stop and will only activate next time when another of your return disc gets processed.

Others

I lost the white sleeve for the BD.
The white sleeve helps us to keep track of our disc library. If you happen to misplace the white sleeve for the disc, kindly place 2 discs in a single sleeve and mail them back with the pre-paid return mailer. Please also drop a note in the return mailer stating that a sleeve is missing so we can replace it.

The disc is not playable or damaged.
If you receive an unplayable disc, try cleaning the disc with mild liquid soap. If it still cannot play, kindly report the problem at problems@disc-central.com.sg. You have to return the faulty disc to us and we will replace the disc for you as soon as possible or we will return the Credit back to you if we do not have a replacement on hand.

I have misplaced the BD.

Can I purchase your viewed discs?
We only rent discs at the moment. Option to purchase viewed discs will be made available in the near future.

How can I purchase discs?
We only rent discs at the moment. Option to pre-order and/or purchase discs will be made available in the near future.

Can I change my subscription plan?
You can only change your subcription plan by cancelling your existing plan and re-subscribe under the new plan.

Can I cancel my membership anytime?
You may choose to cancel your membership at any time but there will be no refund for any paid outstanding membership fees.

 

Billing Questions


How much will I be billed?
You will only be billed for the fee of the subscription plan you have selected on a monthly (30-days), bi-monthly (60-days) or quarterly (90-days) basis depending on which option you choose. There is no late fee, no shipping fee and no hidden charge.


When will I be billed?
Your billing cycle will begin on the day you sign up and the billing interval will be based on a 30-days, 60-days & 90-days basis depending on which option you choose.

How and when can I cancel?
You can cancel anytime. Your cancellation will be immediate but subscription will ends on the expiry date of your subscription. You will have 7 days from upon the expiry of your subscription to return the discs you have rented.

Would the first charge be pro-rated if I sign up mid-month? Or should I wait until the start of the month to sign up?
It makes no difference. Sign up anytime! Your subscription fee is automatically charged on the 30-days, 60-days or 90-days (Monthly, Bi-monthly, Quarterly) anniversary of the first charge.

What other modes of payment are available beside credit card?
Our company is liasing with Paypal as our preferred choice of transaction to provide an easy and secure online transaction. All modes of paymet accepted by Paypal will be accepted. For more information, pls visit www.paypal.com.


Shipping Questions


How long will it take to deliver my discs?
Discs are sent directly to you in pre-paid mailers via Singapore Postal Service. They will usually arrive in 1-2 days' time from shipping time. We ship everyday except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

How soon can I receive my first discs?
You can expect to receive your first discs in 2-3 days' time.

How will I receive the discs?
All discs are sent and returned using Singapore Postal Service. Each disc comes with a protective sleeve in a pre-paid mailer in your letter box, just like any normal postage item. We will also send you a notification email when your order has been shipped.

Will your mailers fit my letterbox?
Our mailers are only 162mm by 229mm. They fit into all letterboxes.

How do I return the BDs?
You will use the pre-paid return mailer provided to return us the disc.

How do I know whether Disc Central has received the discs I have watched?
We will return the used Credits when we receive your returned discs.

I lost one of the pre-paid return mailers. How do I return the BDs?
You can either use one of the pre-paid return mailers to return up to 2 discs or you may send your BDs in your own envelope to: 1 Scotts Road, #03-42, Shaw Centre, S228208.

I returned a disc but you did not receive it.
If you have sent back the disc more than 5 days ago and did not have your Credit returned, report the shipping problem at problems@disc-central.com.sg and we will return the Credits back to you so you can continue to enjoy our services.

I have forgotten my password.
Enter your e-mail address at 'Forget your Password' and we will send you your password by e-mail.

I have forgotten my login ID.
Your login ID is your e-mail address. If you cannot recall your e-mail address, please email us with your NRIC number at problems@disc-cemtral.com.sg and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

How do I change my e-mail address or password?
You can change only change your password. If you need to change your e-mail address, please cancel your subsciption at the end of the cycle and register as a new member.

How can I update or change my credit card information?
We do not have access to your credit card information as our transaction is processed through Paypal. You will be able to change your credit card information by logging into your paypal account.

How can I update my mailing address?
You can update your mailing address anytime by sending in a request under your account information and we will process it as soon as possible.

I will like to rejoin.
We suggest that you use the old e-mail address to register and reactivate your account and just select which plan you would like to subscribe and you can start renting again.
